-
Flourless Chocolate Cake
This is a very simple cake recipe that can be made with just five ingredients and that too in less than 30 mins. This recipe does not even require adding flour!
The pre-requisites,
- At first you need to preheat the oven to 375°F. Then lightly oil a metal 8” round cake pan.
- After that cut a piece of parchment to fit, oil it and lay it in the bottom of the pan.
Now onto making the cake,
- At first, put butter and chocolate in a microwaveable bowl and heat it until the butter melts and the chips become soft. Then stir until the chips melt and reheat it for a few moments if necessary(this can also be done over a burner switch must be set at a very low heat setting).
- Then transfer the melted mixture into a mixing bowl.
- Then stir in espresso powder, salt, sugar and vanilla.
- Then add eggs beating it briefly until its smooth. Then add cocoa powder and mix it to combine. Then spoon the prepared batter into the pan.
- Then bake the cake for about twenty minutes, till the top forms a thin crust.
- Then remove it from the oven and let it cool down for about 5 minutes.
- After the completely cools down, add glazing to it.

2. Butterless Sponge Cake
These cakes are some of the easiest to prepare. If you get the batter right, you can’t go wrong with making these cakes.
- At first, you need to cut two pieces of butter into very thin slices (the size of the base of the cake tins) and fil them in.
- Next sprinkle some sugar or flour over it (do a dusting of it).
- Measure the flour and then sieve it onto a paper and keep it aside.
- Then break a few eggs and then transfer them into a mixing bowl.
- Add sugar, salt, vanilla and baking powder to that mixture of the eggs that you made and beat it till it turns a light foamy texture.
- After you have beaten enough, the mixture will leave a trail where you lifted the “beater”. That is how will know the batter is done.
- Then fold in a single tablespoon floor with a spatula in a light cutting motion – in downward, upward and outward strokes.
- After that fold in the rest of the floor in two installments.
- Divide the batter into 2 tins. Then hollow out the center by pushing the batter from the center and towards the sides with a spatula.
- Then place the tins in a pre-heated oven, most preferably on the same level and then bake for 16 minutes (till you see the sides sinking from the edge of the tin).
- You can also test it out by inserting a sharp knife in the center and then pull it out(if it comes out clean then your cake is ready).
- Then cool the cake tin and serve.

3. Continental Apple Cake
This is a classic and an absolute crowd-pleaser.
- Sieve and mix the baking powder and flour together.
- Then add milk, butter, eggs and sugar in it.
- The next step is thoroughly beating it to form a smooth batter.
- Then pour the batter into a cake tin. After that arrange the apple slices on the top.
- Then dust the whole thing with cinnamon and sugar.
- At about 190 degree you need to bake it till it turns golden in color. (You can check by inserting a knife and keep doing it till the knife comes out clean; try to do it for 30-35 mins).
- Then cool it before serving.
